Due to the length of time we have been working with ABB & relevant motion control equipment, we have gathered a deep knowledge on compatible components and software dating back in excess of 20 years. This has meant we have been able to assist in a variety of different retrofit scenarios to implement the most appropriate solution available to us.
Some retrofits would be as simple as replacing the motor/drive combination, whilst, dependent on the age and manufacturer, some would require a full rebuild. In cases where the whole motion control kit is replaced, this would often require reprogramming, which our engineers are capable of arranging where required.
We would look to improve on multiple elements of the solution while upgrading, maintaining the integrity of the machine and increasing the reliability with improved and updated components. Along with this, any update and improvements made with the software would all around lead to more efficient production.
Our customer would contact us with part numbers, electrical specifications, and relevant information which would be reviewed by our engineers to identify which components would need upgrading/switching.
We would then liaise with the customer to confirm which parts need upgrading and inform of any adjustments which need to be made in order to create the best outcome.
Any work can be done on site by our engineers, or alternatively the machine can be shipped to us for the upgrade to be carried out.
